Io, Enchanted, graphite

Transformation intrigues me--when, how, and why one thing becomes another and what is left when other parts are gone. Seed to plant--or tree--to bud and blossom to, again, seed. Erosion on a cliff face or dwelling, a creek making its path through the forest, the loosening of a leaf from the mother tree to become the nourishing duff of the earth, the mysterious shift when the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

I hope my work will move others to see beauty in the everyday and overlooked and, by paying attention to it, be moved to protect and preserve it.
